The Fight is Won In The Gym

"The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights." - Muhammad Ali

Muhammad Ali's quote, means that pre-planning and understanding the "sport" is what wins your "fights". Boxing is by far the most manly sport out there. I can't think of that many other sports where you fight someone for 12 rounds for three minutes each and keep getting punched in the challenged each round. Long hours are spent in the gym sweating and preparing for a fight. Often times people go both feet into life without planning ahead. The parallelism between boxing and life is this: You must prepare your day just as a fighter would to be successful in the future. Hard work and dedication is needed to be successful. If you don't have the stamina, drive, or commitment you very possibly might fail. You need to prepare yourself just as a boxer to be ready for life's challenges. Whatever your fighting for, practice makes perfect improvement. You must constantly keep practicing and improving because if your not, someone else is.
